My love,
As I am writing this letter, the tears are welling up in my eyes, like a bathtub being filled and about to overflow. I just can’t believe that you are gone. I never thought that a day like this would come, well, I knew that it would come but I never thought that it would occur so soon. I know that this sounds corny but it’s the only way that I can let you know how I feel.
I know that I may not have shown my emotions or spoke about my feelings, but I’ve realised that I was stupid for hiding them for so long and not telling you. God, I had over 20 years to tell you but I never did. I’m such a fool. All the hugs and all the kisses, and afterwards I would just gaze at you, hoping that you felt what I felt. I tried to make it obvious, and I thought that deep down inside that you knew, but when nothing ever happened I assumed that, well, you know, you didn’t feel the same.
I now know it’s too late and that I can’t rewind time and change the way things are, but I’m just going to say it now. I Love You Colin. I always have, and I don’t think I ever will stop loving you… I don’t think it would be possible to stop. I wanted you to know Colin, even if you can’t hear me anymore. I wish you were still here with me hugging, joking around; jeez I even miss you licking my head even though it only happened that one time. You are the one that completes me. Without you I am nothing. You’re my best friend Col, you were always looking out for me, and I hope that you still are...
I Love You So Much Colin… and it’s killing me having to let you go. I’ll place this letter in your inside pocket of your jacket, next to your heart, just so you know how much you meant to me. I think I’ve said everything that needs to be said.
