Entertainment Weekly - Online Entertainment News:
At an interview today in Los Angeles, Colin Mochrie and Ryan Stiles confirmed their involvement in Director Simon Stratton’s upcoming movie, due for release early next summer. Notorious for tackling socially contentious issues, Stratton’s movies have won critical acclaim and caused outrage simultaneously. At a press conference for the as yet unnamed motion picture, Stratton confirmed rumours by stating that the movie was based on a true story of two male actors who found love in Hollywood, and who fought to maintain their relationship in the face of adversity and public outrage. Stratton refused to name the men his movie is based on, stating that ‘who they were doesn’t matter - they are everyman, this could happen to anyone; I want to focus on how two people should be allowed to live their lives with whoever they choose, without prejudice. This could be your dad, your brother, your next door neighbour. Feelings are feelings - there is no wrong or right, only emotion’.
Questioned on his casting selection in the choice of Stiles and Mochrie, Stratton replied: ‘Aside from the fact they are both hugely talented performers, I always thought that when I watched the show (whose line is it anyway?) that their friendship and affection for one another was clear to see. I always knew when I was planning this movie that I needed two men who knew each other as well as they knew themselves, and the moment I spoke to Colin and Ryan, I knew I had my actors’.
Mochrie confirmed: ‘Ryan and I have known each other almost 30 years; we’ve shared good times and bad times and he’s one of the few people in my life who I trust implicitly’.
Stiles, never one to miss an opportunity for improv, interrupts Mochrie by placing a hand on his shoulder and suggesting that Colin might want to stop there, lest people will think that the film is actually about them! As ever, Mochrie laughs good naturedly and as Stratton rightly said, the affection between the pair is palpable.
A coup for fans of the now cancelled improv show Whose Line is it Anyway?, this will be the first time since then, officially, that Mochrie and Stiles have worked together, and their first motion picture together. Asked if they were excited about the prospect, Stiles replied:
‘Absolutely. As soon as I was offered the part I called Colin to make sure he was gonna say yes! We’re both fans of Simon’s movies, and to be considered was an incredible honour. And obviously I couldn’t pass up the chance on working with Col again’.
For Mochrie, it will be like old times: ‘In the early days when we were starting out, Ryan and I worked together a lot, and they were fun times. Since the show, whilst we’ve obviously kept in touch and maintained our friendship, we have gone different ways in terms of work, so for something like this to come along is just brilliant. It’s rare that we get an opportunity to work together so it’s something we’re both looking forward to’.
Finally, when asked if they were worried about the nature of the content of the movie, both men smiled but shrugged nonchalantly.
‘We’re actors, professionals, this is what we do’ Stiles replied.
‘From what we’ve seen, it’s a beautiful script and I only hope that we do it justice’ Mochrie added, in his typically gracious fashion.
Filming for Stratton’s movie, with Colin Mochrie and Ryan Stiles begins this week. A title and release date for the movie have yet to be confirmed.

‘Come in’ Colin mumbled in response to the knock on his door, without looking away from his laptop screen.
He heard the door click shut.
‘Hey Ry’.
He hadn’t looked round - he didn’t need to. He always knew when it was Ryan, and by the way in which he had knocked the door and now remained silent in the room, Colin knew that Ryan was apprehensive about something. And Colin knew what.
Colin turned from the computer and smiled at Ryan, receiving confirmation of Ryan’s apprehension in a quick smile in return.
'Whatcha doin?' Ryan asked, trying to control his jiggling leg
‘Oh not a lot, just some reading. What brings you here? Bored?’ he asked, before returning to the screen. He knew Ryan would only open up in his own time. It was best not to make a big deal out of things.
‘Um, yeah. Bored I guess. You all set for tomorrow?’ Ryan coughed, fear catching in his throat.
‘Hmm? Yeah as I’ll ever be. You?’ Colin replied absentmindedly, frowning as he regarded the laptop screen.
‘I suppose….Are you…oh God…are you nervous?’ Ryan said, hoping that Colin wouldn’t meet his gaze as he felt his palms sweaty and his collar get tighter.
‘My God you are such an ass hole’ Colin said
‘Excuse me?!’ Ryan’s head shot up in complete astonishment as he saw Colin quickly turn in his chair to face him.
‘Oh God, Ry - I didn’t mean you, well I did mean you - but not the real you…oh God’ Colin stuttered, feeling his cheeks beginning to flush.
‘What do you mean "not the real me"? Ryan replied indignantly.
‘It’s….it’s a story I’m reading’ Colin mumbled, knowing by now that his face was no doubt crimson.
‘A story?’ The anger in Ryan’s voice was still clearly there despite his obvious confusion as he squarely met Colin’s furtive gaze.
‘Oh God how do I explain?’ Colin replied, more to himself than to Ryan.
‘Is it something in the press? Tabloids, what?’
‘No no no, it’s…it’s nothing like that?’
‘Then what the hell is it Col? Because I’d quite like to know why I’m apparently an ass hole’ Ryan said, raising his voice.
Colin sighed and wiped his own sweaty palms on his jeans. ‘It’s a story I’m reading about you…about us’
‘About us?’
‘Yeah…’
‘I don’t get it Col…if it’s not some press thing then what is it?’
‘It’s….fan fiction’
‘What?’
‘Fan fiction’ Colin repeated quietly
‘What in the hell is that?’
‘Well, they’re stories that people write about people related to their fandom’
‘Their whatdom?’ Ryan repeated, looking at Colin as if he was speaking jibberish.
Colin sighed and realised he shouldn’t have tried to multi task and should have just shut down the computer as soon as Ryan entered the room. Damnit.
‘The fandom - in this case the whose line? Fandom is like the world of the show, with all of us and anyone who ever performed/produced/directed it - whatever as characters. And fans of the show, well they write stories -fan fiction, and make videos about us. It’s like a tribute.’ Colin tried his best to explain, but wasn’t sure if he was making sense at all.
Ryan frowned and tried to comprehend what Colin had just said. After a few moments he tilted his head to one side and regarded Colin, who he noticed, was as nervous looking as he had been when he’d entered the room.
‘I still don’t understand why I’m an ass hole’.
Colin laughed. The tension had been broken. At least for the moment.
‘Well this story I’m reading at the moment is called Small Town 3 - it’s an AU fic, so we’re not actors, but rather we’re cops in this one, and the part I’ve just read you won’t move in with me because you think that the small town attitudes of the locals will compromise our job-’
‘Woah woah WOAH’ Ryan interjected raising his hands. ‘Firstly - what the hell is AU, why are we cops and WHY are we in a relationship?! What the hell is this stuff, Col?!’
Colin sighed and realised this was going to be a hell of a lot more complicated to explain than he first thought.
‘Ok, Ryan. Just go with me on this, ok? Just listen - don’t interrupt, and I’ll try to explain as best I can, all right?’
Ryan nodded.
‘Ok…’ Colin began. ‘First of all, ‘AU’ stands for alternate universe, which means that the you take the characters out of their fandom and put them into another world - so instead of being actors, we’re cops. We could be vampires, teachers, chefs - anything - with me?’
Ryan nodded and signalled for Colin to go on, although he thought it was still fairly cracked.
‘Now, what I didn’t mention before, and is actually key to a lot of fan fiction, is the element of "slash"’
‘Slash?’ Ryan looked confused.
‘This is where it gets a little complicated’ Colin cleared his throat and looked shiftily from the laptop screen to Ryan. ‘Slash basically means same sex relationships between people who are recognised in the real world - and in the fandom - as straight. Do you know what I’m saying?’
Ryan frowned and shifted on the bed, computing everything Colin had told him and considering it carefully before replying.
‘So what you’re telling me is that you’re reading stories about - and people write stories about us having sex?’
‘That’s pretty much it, yeah’ Colin nodded.
‘Isn’t…isn’t that a bit weird, Col?’
Colin immediately shook his head.
‘No - not at all. A lot of the stories are really good - whether you focus on the sexual element or not. I mean really good, Ry. Plus, it’s not all slash. Some people write "Het" fic too, with one of us and what they call an "OFC" - that’s an original female character - so someone completely fictional, of their own creation’.
His interest piqued, Ryan looked over Colin’s shoulder at the website he was viewing.
‘So this’ he pointed at the screen, ‘has stories all about us on it?’
‘Yup’ Colin replied. ‘Actually, you and I are a lot of peoples’ "OTP"’ he found himself adding proudly.
Ryan flashed him a look of confusion and Colin smiled, cursing his inner geek at outing him completely.
‘ " One True Pair" - basically the two characters they think belong together the most’ Colin said shyly, and he wondered why he could feel the heat rising to his cheeks yet again.
‘That’s kinda sweet I guess. Makes sense’ Ryan replied, nudging Colin along on the chair so he could get a better view of the website and took control of the mouse.
‘So tell me what this is about?’ Ryan said, pointing to the story Colin had been reading.
‘Oh it’s a bit of an epic - too long to explain really. Maybe later. Look, click on ‘the tags’ and that will bring up a list of everyone that belongs to the community’
‘Holy Shit there’s hundreds!’ said Ryan, scrolling down the page. ‘Hmm what’s this one about - ‘Learning to Bite’?
‘Oh that’s an example of a Het fic. You’re in that one actually.’
‘Oh really? What happens in it? Is it…AU?’
Colin smiled at Ryan’s attempt to master the language of fan fiction. ‘No, it’s not - well, not really. You’re a performer in it, but you’re not married. In fact you’re a womaniser and you end up having sex on the roof of a night club in Vegas. But then you end up falling in love with the girl and you try to track her down. Pretty good’
‘On the roof of a nightclub in Vegas, huh?’ Ryan leered. ‘Clearly written by someone who knows me well’.
Colin laughed and shook his head hopelessly, thinking how strange it was that he and Ryan were sat in his hotel room reading fan fiction.
‘So, are you and me always put together?’ Ryan asked.
‘Hmmm, well usually, but sometimes I’m with Brad - obvious I guess from the fact that we tour together. Anyone can be paired with anyone really, but there seems to be sort of unwritten rules, or rather, more typical pairings.’
Ryan grinned ‘You’re such a nerd, Col’
‘Thank you’ Colin shoved him playfully as Ryan continued to look through the website. ‘Sometimes you’re with Greg’
‘Greg? Mmm never really thought of that’ Ryan replied
‘What?! So you mean to say you have thought about you and me?!’
‘What? No! I didn’t mean that…’Ryan stammered ‘it’s just….you know I guess I can see why they’d put us together because we’re always together in games and stuff’
‘uh huh’ Colin grinned, always happy when able to make Ryan squirm.
Suddenly Ryan’s features paled and Colin thought for a moment he was going to be sick.
‘What’s wrong, Ry?’
‘Oh God…please tell me nobody writes about me and Drew…I don’t think I could…oh Jesus Col’
Colin laughed, ‘No, not that I’ve ever read. They put Brad with Drew, and sometimes Greg actually’.
‘Ha, I will enjoy telling Greg that sometime when he’s drunk’ Ryan said.
‘Actually they seem quite keen on Greg and Clive as a pair’
Ryan screwed up his face and recoiled. ‘Clive? As in Clive Clive? Now there’s an image you don’t need’
Colin chuckled ‘Come on, Ryan. Even Clive’s entitled to some action’
‘Ha! You tell that to Greg next time you see him’.
‘Well, I did read one where you were with Dan, so I wouldn’t say too much if I were you’
Ryan looked disgusted. ‘Oh God that’s just…wrong. Dan? Dan? Ew. God’
Both men sat in silence for a while, exploring the world of Whose Line fan fiction, Ryan learning as Colin navigated him around this whole other realm. Colin knew there were more questions to come, however. It was just a matter of when. So he waited. Ryan would only ask when he was ready.
‘So do our wives feature in any of these stories?’
Colin shifted uncomfortably in his seat. ‘Sometimes, but they’re not always portrayed as…favourable. I think they’re kind of seen as obstacles, keeping us or Greg or whoever, from being together’.
‘Not favourable, huh?’ Ryan arched an eyebrow and smirked. ‘Must remember to tell Pat that next time we fight. "The fans hate you because you’re stopping me being with Colin". That’d shut her up’.
‘So…yeah..um that’s pretty much it’ Colin said, hoping that Ryan would stop reading and close down the laptop and they could go for a drink or something. Before he asked any more questions. This was all becoming a little too bizarre.
Ryan turned and faced Colin, his gaze quizzical. ‘So, why are you reading all this stuff anyway?’
Damn
‘Well…erm….as research I guess’
‘Research? For what?’ Ryan laughed.
‘Tomorrow’.
Ryan’s features darkened once more and he remembered the reason for his earlier nervousness, and why he had come to talk to Colin in the first place.
‘Oh…yeah…tomorrow’.
‘I’m guessing that’s why you were so fidgety when you came in?’ Colin ventured.
‘You noticed, huh?’
‘I always do’ Colin smiled.
‘I just thought you know…that we should maybe talk about it, you know?’
Colin nodded slowly as the silence filled the room once more.
‘Are you nervous?’ Ryan asked
Colin shifted and contemplated his thoughts before answering. In all honesty, it was the first time he had been confronted directly and been forced to think about his answer.
‘Well, we’ve both seen each other naked before…and I imagine you know, we’ll be covered up down below, so it can’t be too bad, right? And we’ve kissed each other more times than I can remember on the show and over the years. You know they make a lot out of those kisses on the internet!’
‘Ha, I’ll bet’ Ryan replied, smiling as he looked at the floor, taking strange comfort in the fact he could hear in Colin’s voice that he was as nervous as him.
‘I just thought I’d have a look on the internet to see…if it was any different between two guys’ Colin cringed at this thought, ‘and I found actual sites like this focusing on us in that situation and I started reading….and I kinda got hooked’ he added sheepishly.
‘What’s it like?’ Ryan asked quietly, causing Colin to laugh lowly in his throat.
‘Erm…pretty hot stuff some of it to be honest’.
‘Are we good?’ Ryan smirked, unable to resist.
Colin blushed, how typical of Ryan to think about that. He cleared his throat. ‘Um yeah…reading some of it kinda made me think I’ve led a sheltered life’.
Ryan’s eyes widened with curiosity, glinting mischievously. ‘Oh that good, huh? Well they obviously have our characters pretty well sussed out’.
‘So you automatically assume that we’d be good in bed together, Ry?’
Ryan grinned. ‘Well I know I’d be great, I was just giving you the benefit of the doubt’
‘I can hold my own, thank you very much’ Colin answered
‘And you/I frequently do’ both men said in unison, collapsing into a fit of giggles.
‘Well, if all these guys think we’d be good together, then maybe it’ll just come naturally. Erm…so to speak’ Ryan added.
‘I guess…’ Colin replied, fiddling idly with his wedding ring.
After a few moments of silence, Ryan suddenly became agitated once more and began pacing the floor.
‘Oh God Col, how are we gonna do this tomorrow? I mean you’ve seen Simon’s films - the sex scenes in them are hot - he’ll expect ours to be exactly the same. It’s gonna be awkward as hell. Oh God, and everyone’s gonna be watching’
‘Ryan - calm down, and stop pacing, you’re giving me motion sickness’ Colin interrupted, becoming more and more nervous himself by Ryan’s fretting. He rubbed his head in an attempt to find the answer.
‘Look, Ryan - you’ve said it yourself - we’re professionals. We can do this, it’ll be in character. I’m sure once we get out there tomorrow it will all be fine.’
‘Once more, with feeling, Col’ Ryan said sarcastically. ‘I just don’t know how we’ll even begin. You know what Simon said - he wants it to be natural. He has no script, just a general idea. He wants it all to come from us, so that it looks natural. I know we’ve kissed on stage before but…this’ll be different’.
Colin ran his hands over his face; his head was throbbing.
‘I know, I know. Look, we’ve just gotta put ourselves in their position and tap into their emotions. And that won’t be difficult, right? Aside from the fact we’re actors, we do care for each other. I mean we have history, Ry. It’s just gonna be a matter of using our own emotions for….something else. And try and ignore the fact that it’s me and you’.
Ryan thought about what Colin was saying and nodded before raising his eyes to meet Colin’s.
‘I don’t think I’ll be able to forget it’s us’ he sighed forlornly as he slumped back onto the bed.
Colin sighed and sat beside him. ‘You’re gonna have to, Ry. Look, would it make it any easier if we…you know…practiced now? Just the kissing I mean’ he added hastily.
Ryan said nothing, silently processing the suggestion before nodding slightly.
‘Ry?’
‘Yes’ Ryan confirmed, shifting to face Colin.
‘Ok’ Colin breathed, feeling his heartbeat increase. What the hell are we doing?
Ryan scrunched his eyes shut and pursed his lips, causing Colin to burst into giggles.
‘Ryan, what are you, an 8 year old kid having to be kissed for a dare?! You look like a fish’.
Ryan’s face creased with laughter as he could only imagine what he looked like. ‘Ok, ok’ Ryan breathed in deeply before relaxing and closing his eyes. Waiting.
The sound of Colin taking deep breaths echoed off the walls as he wiped his sweaty palms on his jeans and edged ever so slightly towards Ryan. Slowly and hesitantly he raised a hand to Ryan’s cheek and cupped his jaw gently as he leaned towards him, brushing his lips lightly with his own as they touched for the first time. Tentatively he took Ryan’s top lip with his mouth and held their pose for a few seconds before withdrawing. He tasted sweet, Colin thought as he tried to gage Ryan’s response.
A few seconds later Ryan opened his eyes and blinked, fixing Colin with a look that Colin had never before seen on Ryan’s face. He hoped they hadn’t overstepped the line.
‘Was…that ok?’ Colin asked, unsure if he really wanted to know the answer.
Ryan licked his lips, tasting where Colin had been. He found himself nodding automatically. Colin was right - it hadn’t been awkward; it had felt strangely appropriate. Familiar even.
‘Not really a proper kiss though’ Ryan said quietly. ‘I imagine Simon will be expecting a hell of a lot more tomorrow’.
‘Oh…umm I’m sorr-’
‘Kiss me again’ Ryan interjected
‘What?’
‘Kiss me again’ he repeated.
Colin swallowed, edging hesitantly once more towards Ryan, wondering how on earth they’d got to this; only to find Ryan’s hands reaching for his as they moved closer. When he found Ryan’s lips for the second time, Colin found his kiss returned with eagerness; Ryan’s tongue requesting entrance to his mouth, which, much to his surprise, Colin found himself naturally granting. As their tongues met and explored each other, both men found the space between them rapidly decreasing, Colin’s hand finding the back of Ryan’s neck to pull him closer; eliciting a moan that he found to be an incredible turn on. Ryan’s hand in turn found its way to Colin’s thigh, and was caressing gently, absentmindedly, the most natural thing in the world. When they finally pulled apart, both found a lot more energy had been expended this time as Colin noticed Ryan’s hitched breathing was in time with his own.
‘Now that was a kiss’ Ryan breathed. Colin swallowed and nodded, still savouring the taste of Ryan in his mouth. As he looked down he noticed that Ryan’s hand still rested on his thigh.
‘Want to try again?’ Colin heard himself say, his eyes still focused on Ryan’s long fingers as they lay splayed across his thigh. As he hesitantly raised his eyes, he saw the answer he wanted in Ryan’s gaze.
‘Oh God, yes’ Ryan said, his eyes dark with passion and fire.
Before Colin could register the response, he found himself pulled to Ryan’s lips once more, Ryan’s hands fisting in his shirt, leaving creases in the wake of their wanderings as their lips crushed together frantically; their whimpers and moans at this new found sensation reverberating around the room.
‘Ry….Ryan, what….what are we doing?’ Colin gasped, pushing away from Ryan as he staggered away from the bed, where Ryan lay propped on his arms, his breathing laboured and eyes glazed with passion.
‘Practicing?’
Colin shook his head as he stumbled away, noticing his shirt flapping and wondering at what point Ryan had managed to undo the buttons. He also tried to think about anything but the increasing pressure he was feeling in his jeans.
‘Ryan…this….what…no’ Colin shut his eyes and shook his head once more, unable to think about anything other than the heat coursing through his veins. He’d never felt such an intense rush and arousal from kissing anyone before. Ever.
‘Col….’ Ryan’s voice was husky and still short of breath as he sat up, flinching as he felt his arousal straining against his jeans.
‘Come on, Col, you can’t deny that was….well pretty fucking amazing’ he swallowed.
Colin turned to find Ryan’s features flushed with want, with need, and he knew that were he to look in a mirror he’d find the same etched on his own face.
‘I…I just don’t know what we’re doing, Ry. How have we got to this?’
Ryan shrugged. He didn’t have the answer; he only knew how he felt, and at that moment he felt that he wanted Colin more than anything to kiss him again. As soon as their lips had touched, it was like a switch being flipped and bringing life to every fibre of his being. Every pulse, every beat reacted and yearned for Colin. And every feeling would only be satisfied by Colin. Nothing else would ever come close, Ryan knew that instinctively. This was like nothing else.
‘I…don’t know, but it’s not exactly out of the blue, is it? People have been writing about it for years’ he said shyly, ‘maybe it’s always been waiting for us. Fate? You said it yourself, we have history’.
Colin would never have believed Ryan had said something so poetic if he hadn’t turned and saw the confirmation in his eyes.
As affirmation to his thoughts, Colin nodded before walking back towards the bed and meeting Ryan’s eyes, twinkling in the evening light.
‘And I think we’re about to make some more’ he said, his hands shakily reaching Ryan’s shoulders as he leant down and kissed him again.
-o-
‘Col….Col’ Ryan mumbled, breaking a kiss that seemed to have taken them into eternity, to blissful dizzying heights.
‘What’s wrong?’ Colin asked, his hand running inside Ryan’s shirt and feeling the muscles on his torso twitch under his ministrations.
‘I…I can’t go on like this….need more’ Ryan said, a hint of bashfulness creeping into his voice as he glanced down towards the bulge in his jeans.
Following his gaze, Colin couldn’t miss what Ryan was referring to, nor could he hide the very visible similar situation he was also experiencing.
‘I don’t…know how…I’ve never….you know with a guy’ Colin replied, his voice trailing off nervously.
Ryan took Colin’s hand and gently placed it gently at the waistband of his jeans and pressed into his palm, conveying his need.
‘Me either…but I want to. If you do?’
Colin nodded, looking down at his hand and tentatively feeling what lay beneath, pulling away when Ryan groaned, realising after that it had been a groan of pleasure rather than pain. He didn’t know if that was a good or a bad thing.
‘How….how far?’ he asked
‘I don’t know, just…just touch me, Col. Please’
Colin got to his knees on the bed and observed as Ryan scooted up the bed, giving him room. Unsure of what to do, Colin straddled him and Ryan nodded his approval. Tentatively Colin reached out and ran his hands along Ryan’s chest, noticing as Ryan arched his back in approval as Colin pushed his shirt from his arms. Ryan was unable to contain a moan as Colin’s warm hands travelled across his chest until they reached the button of his jeans, stopping when they did. Where Colin sought approval, Ryan nodded once more and Colin fumbled with the button, and cursing when he saw that Ryan was wearing button fly jeans.
‘Way to make things easier, Ry’ he mumbled, causing Ryan to laugh as his hands met Colin’s, stroking along his arms and feeling the soft hairs that lay there.
‘Let me’ Ryan said, and with an expert movement, popped open the remaining buttons.
‘Show off’ Colin pouted, pulling the jeans down as Ryan’s hips wriggled compliantly until the denims rested at his ankles and he was able to kick out of them.
Colin breathed in deeply as he observed the impressive tent in Ryan’s boxer shorts before him. He knew Ryan would be big, but this? Lost in thought, he looked up when Ryan took hold of his hands and hooked them under the band of his underwear.
‘Touch me Col…please’ Ryan said, his eyes pleading and his voice almost a whimper.
Swiftly, Colin shed Ryan of the restrictive underwear and as he observed him felt an incredible urge to get rid of his own. It was getting way too crowded down there.
When he touched Ryan for the first time, Ryan reacted as if he had been burnt, arching his back, his hands fisting the over starched sheets as his eyes shut at the feeling of something it seemed he’d been waiting his whole life for. Seeing this had been the catalyst for Colin as he sprung to his feet and threw his shirt to the floor, wrestling with his jeans that he couldn’t get to the floor quick enough. When it came to his briefs he hesitated momentarily for fear that he would appear inadequate, but the look on Ryan’s face as he watched him undress told him he couldn’t have been more wrong.
Completely naked and painfully aroused, Colin approached the bed once more, running his hands along Ryan’s thighs, noticing how little hair Ryan had there compared to his own. Travelling along the path of Ryan’s body, becoming familiar with the journey, Colin realised just how different their bodies were. His, slightly older, his chest covered with dark, now greying hair, his legs and arms the same, and Ryan’s…Ryan’s almost statuesque physique, toned and hairless all but a few blonde coverings where you’d expect. And yet they were exactly the same. Exactly what each other wanted and desired at that moment.
Straddling him once more, Colin groaned as he bent down to kiss Ryan, Ryan’s arms encircling his back and pulling him down; their erections brushing against each other and creating the most deliciously unbearable friction.
‘Oh Col’ Ryan groaned in his ear as he nibbled at his neck, arching his hips up to meet Colin’s, almost sending Colin to the point of no return.
Ryan was lost in his senses as he became aware that he was being pulled down the bed by his legs. Opening his eyes he saw Colin standing at the foot of the bed, between his legs, his hands pulling him closer.
‘Ry…do you want this?’ he gasped, unable to hide the desire lacing his voice.
Ryan didn’t need to ask him to clarify what he meant. Colin’s intentions were clear. Ryan was pretty sure his answer was obvious too, but he replied ‘yes’ for good measure. Hooking Ryan’s legs behind his hips, Colin gently moved forward until his erection rested at the entrance to Ryan’s body; noticing Ryan’s hips repositioning in anticipation.
‘Col… I don’t think this’ll work. It’s too soon…maybe try a finger first?’
Colin’s digits gently probed Ryan’s opening, eliciting a scream that both frightened and aroused him, but as he observed Ryan’s face he knew that he was experiencing pleasure, not pain; he gently probed further, adding another finger and exploring and stretching, his own arousal building as he watched waves of pleasure flow over Ryan’s body. When Ryan’s squirming became more insistent under his exploration and Colin felt his own body twitching with desire he knew he couldn’t last much longer.
‘Ry?’
‘Yes…yes Col, yes’ Ryan nodded, his hands reaching for Colin’s and thereby granting permission.
Poised once more at the entrance to his body, Colin gently and slowly moved into Ryan, feeling his muscles contract around his throbbing erection, releasing and granting him further access with every spasm. It was like nothing he could have ever imagined before. But it was the mixture of their murmurs and whimpers filling the air that heightened Colin’s arousal even more.
‘Oh Christ, Colin’ Ryan managed to grind out, one hand fisting and clenching the sheet; the other subconsciously edging towards his twitching penis.
Seeing this, Colin took hold of Ryan’s erection and began to pump it slowly whilst pushing in deeper, allowing Ryan’s body to swallow him completely as he began to thrust.
‘JESUS!’
Colin stopped instantly as Ryan’s eyes popped open, his hips bucking upwards instinctively.
‘What is it, Ryan, did I hurt you?’
‘I…I think you hit my prostate’ Ryan said, his voice clogged with desire.
‘Oh…that…that’s good, right?’
‘You have no idea….’ Ryan mumbled.
When Colin thrust again Ryan screamed so loudly that Colin was sure that someone in the neighbouring room would complain.
-o-
Colin and Ryan lay on the bed, limbs intertwined in abandon; both completely spent, listening to the sound of their breathing regulating in the silence and the twilight.
‘So..’
‘So..’
‘What now?’
‘What do you mean, what now?’ Colin asked, staring at the ceiling.
‘Well, what do you normally do after sex’ Ryan replied, his eyes focused on a cobweb above.
‘Tell Deb I love her’ Colin found himself saying before he even had time to think. It was the first thing that came to him.
‘Ah. Maybe not the best thing to do right now. Given the circumstances’ Ryan said quietly.
‘No…probably not’ Colin agreed. ‘I…I do love you though’ he added quietly. He heard Ryan swallow beside him.
Ryan’s fingers splayed across the short space between them, finding Colin’s hand and interlinking it with his own when he did, squeezing it tight.
‘I love you too, Col.’ And as he said it, Ryan realised it was the most natural thing in the world.
-o-
‘So, boys - any ideas on how you want to play this?’ Simon asked as Colin and Ryan arrived on set.
Both men just looked at each other furtively. It was Ryan who spoke.
‘Look Simon, Col and I have discussed this - we have a few ideas, but it’s…well can we just run with it? We can do the preceding lines and then just go straight into it. Just put us in our starting positions and then see what happens?’
Simon pondered for a moment, stroking his chin before nodding vehemently. He positively advocated an organic acting process. The less things were scripted, the better in his mind.
‘Absolutely. Wonderful. Dialogue at the door and then take it where it leads you. The bed, the couch, wherever. The set is yours’.
As Simon went to take up position in his chair, Ryan stopped him again.
‘Simon?’
‘Yes?’
‘Just one request. Can we have a closed set? Just me and Col, if you can control the cameras and direction from the viewing rig?’
‘Privacy, of course. Absolutely. Everyone, closed set please except for Mr. Stiles and Mr. Mochrie. Lighting and camera to the control room please’ Simon ordered effortlessly. ‘All yours boys’.

When Ryan and I had finished the scene there was silence on the set. There had been no interruptions. As Simon had suggested we had broken into the dialogue and just ran with it. Obviously we only went so far, but that wasn’t necessarily obvious to the naked eye. The silence, however, was kind of deafening, and when not even ‘that’s a wrap’ was called, I was beginning to wonder just how it had been received. As we walked off set, I looked up towards the viewing gallery to be greeted by a row of stunned faces, complete with open mouths. Simon came across the studio floor bearing a similar expression. It unnerved me to say the least.
‘Gentlemen….that was….well…I, words fail me’
Ryan and I just looked at each other warily.
‘Beautiful…perfect…just perfect. A truly beautiful thing to witness. No script that could ever be written could match that’.
There was no need for another take. Having said that, when we broke for the day Ryan and I went back to his room and wrote another script. Only this time it was even better.

Online Entertainment News:
Last night saw the eagerly anticipated Premiere of Simon Stratton’s latest film, ‘Chemistry’ starring Colin Mochrie and Ryan Stiles. A title that has bemused and baffled both critics and fans in its simplicity, OEN took the opportunity to quiz the director on his choice on the red carpet. His response was somewhat simple for a man notorious for his love of enigma:
‘When it comes to my movies, the title is often the last thing that I think of, and this movie was no exception. Quite often it won’t be until we have shot several sequences that I find something suitable. I know people often think that my titles have a tendency to be convoluted and unnecessary, but it is always my intention to find something that captures what I feel is the essence, the spirit of the movie. That can be one word, or it can be ten. In this case, when I saw Colin and Ryan working together, the choice was obvious. They have a chemistry that is unparalleled and that could never be manufactured, no matter how good a writer or director you are. It comes from within, and I saw it clearly from them. When you see the movie, you’ll know what I mean.’
‘Chemistry’ is in theatres nationwide from tomorrow.

Colin sits and the laptop, focused on his typing as the sounds of the clattering of the keys fill the air as Ryan lays slumped on the bed catching up on the NHL draft news in the paper.
…..So you see, folks, you all may have been writing about it for years - writing about something we never once imagined but clearly existed in the dark recesses of our mind. Destiny and fate as Ryan said. Our first encounter may not compare with any of your creations in the poetic stakes. You can edit out the messy aspects - we had to work through them! But it was worth it in the end. And it just goes to show that the truth can be strange. Stranger even than fiction.
‘Col? You reading more fan fiction?’ Ryan calls from behind the paper.
Colin smiles. ‘Not reading no. Just writing our story’ he replies before doing a final review and clicking the button marked ‘Post’.
